kerriestrawberry asked: Where did you go, healthy froggie? :(
I’ve completed my 3 weeks. I will say that I have continued the 1500 calorie diet even though I don’t really have to. I hope to see the psychologist soon with my journal in hand. Hopefully she will approve me for gastric bypass. We’ll see.

Today my stomach has been all like, “alksdfakds” and I was like “adkfjadf” so I had Cheerios and crackers again. Clearly the antibiotics weren’t done with me yet.

I had an unusual day yesterday. My antibiotics were making my stomach a bit grumbly and I didn’t feel like eating much. I played it safe with some cheese and crackers. I also haven’t been sleeping well so I snoozed right through dinner.
This morning I had Cheerios for breakfast. I think it is safe to assume that is going to be a regular thing from now on. I made a Lean Pocket for lunch. My life requires a certain degree of simplicity due to my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I don’t like wasting energy on preparing complicated meals when there are easier solutions available to me. Energy is precious to me and I have a career I am trying to build. Once I have the surgery, I will do what is necessary. What is asked of me. If I need to prepare more complicated meals, I will do so. But like everything in my life, I will find the simplest and least energy consuming methods I can.
I don’t see why simplicity is a bad thing. It saves me energy for more important things. I like eating the same thing all the time. I don’t care if I have a sandwich 3 days in a row. Food isn’t that important to me. Getting rid of that miserable hunger feeling is my main concern. And even if my diet seems unconventional… I have managed to stay under 1500 calories everyday and while the fat content varies, it is always below 50 grams. Hopefully that is healthy enough to suffice.
I do realize I need to work more vegetables into the mix. I had originally planned more salads but those take a bit more effort to prepare. Things got really messed up with the infection, hospital stay, the surgery, the painkillers, and now the antibiotics having their fun with my innards. Once I feel more in the right I am going to double my efforts to eat my veggies.
